چکیده

The success of any remote sensing program is directly related to the knowledge of both spectral and radiometric characteristics of the sensors involved. The Brazilian remote sensing user’s community has explored the relationship between orbital radiometric data and biophysical data since the beginning of the nineties using the Thematic Mapper (TM) sensor as the main source of data. Since the first images of the sensors onboard CBERS-2 were made available by INPE, users have asked information about the conversion of image digital numbers to physical data as radiance or reflectance. This paper describes the main steps that were carried out to calculate the in-flight absolute calibration coefficients for CCD images at level 2 (radiometric and geometrical corrections included) considering the reflectancebased method. It was also included some remarks about the preliminary evaluation of these coefficients application from a user point of view.

In-flight absolute calibration of the CBERS-2 CCD sensor data.

Since the first images of the sensors on board of CBERS-2 (China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite) satellite were made available by the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), users have asked information about the conversion of image digital numbers to physical data (radiance or reflectance). This paper describes the main steps that were carried out to calculate the in-flight absolute ca...

Pre-Launch Absolute Calibration of CCD/CBERS-2B Sensor

Pre-launch absolute calibration coefficients for the CCD/CBERS-2B sensor have been calculated from radiometric measurements performed in a satellite integration and test hall in the Chinese Academy of Space Technology (CAST) headquarters, located in Beijing, China. An illuminated integrating sphere was positioned in the test hall facilities to allow the CCD/CBERS-2B imagery of the entire sphere...

First in-Flight Radiometric Calibration of MUX and WFI on-Board CBERS-4

Brazil and China have a long-term joint space based sensor program called China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite (CBERS). The most recent satellite of this program (CBERS-4) was successfully launched on 7 December 2014. This work describes a complete procedure, along with the associated uncertainties, used to calculate the in-flight absolute calibration coefficients for the sensors Multispectra...

Bundle Block Adjustment with Self-calibration of Long Orbit Cbers-02b Imagery

CBERS-02B was the first high resolution earth observation satellite in China, which adopted linear array push-broom sensor. The nadir ground resolution of the on board HR camera was 2.36 m. However, the accuracies of the on-board GPS receiver and star tracker were very limited due to the technical restrictions. The accuracy of direct geo-referencing by the on-board measurements of position and ...

On-orbit Spatial Resolution Estimation of Cbers-1 Ccd Imaging System from Bridge Images

The first China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite (CBERS) was launched in 1999 and recently was substituted by CBERS-2. CBERS1 and CBERS-2 have the same specifications and carry three sensors which combine features that are specially designed to cover the broad range of space and time scales involved in the monitoring and preservation of the ecosystem: Wide Field Imager (WFI), High Resolution CC...
